The SBU is strengthening the protection of government facilities in the capital
The Security Service of Ukraine conducts planned counter-intelligence measures in the Pechersk district of the capital, in particular in the government quarter. The State Security Office of Ukraine, the National Police and the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are involved in the operation.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
The purpose of the measures is to strengthen the anti-sabotage protection of state facilities, as well as to ensure the safety of Kyiv residents and persons under state protection.
As part of the operation, law enforcement officers together with representatives of the State Security Department:
- inspect territories and premises, in particular residences, offices, common areas of multi-apartment buildings and public service facilities;
- check citizens who are in the area of the government quarter.
