Yesterday, the border guards received a message from their Romanian colleagues about the discovery of a human body in the Tisza River.
This was reported by the press service of the DPSU.
The drowning man was a 39-year-old citizen of Ukraine from the Kyiv region. The man's body was found at a distance of 5 meters from the Romanian coast, between the settlements of Bedevlja (Ukraine) and Remeta (Romania).
“It is likely that the man became a victim of smugglers who, for the sake of profit for the organization of illegal border crossing by conscripts, expose their “clients” to mortal danger,” the message reads.
Since the beginning of December 2024, this is already the second case when a human body was discovered on the river section of the border.
