Against the backdrop of rising prices for eggs, Oleg Pendzin, an expert at the Economic Discussion Club, warned on the air of Ukrainian Radio that another product related to them will become more expensive. We're talking about chicken.
“These related things are quite serious. The cost of feed will also affect the cost of meat. The feed supply will definitely influence. Chicken meat will reproduce the dynamics of eggs. The richer we are, the more meat and dairy products we eat; the poorer, the more We eat bread and potatoes. They are trying to replace meat with other types of products. In this situation, eggs are unique; there is practically nothing to replace them with, so the dynamics for eggs are more severe,” the expert explained.
