Chinese car set a new record for power reserve – UNIAN
The average fuel consumption of the Chery Fulwin A8L is 4.2 liters per 100 km.
The Chery Fulwin A8L sedan set a new record among plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) – its range reached 2,369.9 km without stopping for recharging or refueling. With this result, the car entered the Guinness Book of Records, CarNewsChina reports.
The previous record holder was the Roewe D7 DMH sedan, created by the Chinese SAIC Motor. This plug-in hybrid was able to cover 2,208 km with an average fuel consumption of 2.49 liters per 100 km.
A new achievement was achieved thanks to the innovative hybrid system C-DM 5.0. There are two modifications of the system – the first is based on a naturally aspirated 1.5 engine, and the second is turbocharged. The total system power of the “champion” version is 360 hp.
