The Russian State Duma reacted to Kamila Valieva’s new decision – Figure skating

Olympic champion in speed skating, deputy State Duma of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zhurova in a conversation with RIA Novosti expressed the hope that Swiss Federal Courtconsidering a new appeal by a Russian figure skater Kamila Valievawill be based on the principle of case law, Sports.kz reports.

On Tuesday, the press service of the Swiss Federal Court told RIA Novosti that Valieva filed a new appeal in the case of violating anti-doping rules. Sports lawyer Anna Antseliovich told RIA Novosti that Valieva’s new appeal may be related to the decision of the International Skating Union (ISU) to deprive the Russian team of gold medals in the team tournament at the Beijing Olympics.
