Two NASA astronauts whose space missions are already running longer than planned will have to stay in space even longer. They will be able to return to Earth only in the spring, 10 months after they went into orbit on Boeing's Starliner capsule, The Washington Times reports.
On December 17, NASA announced another delay in the return to Earth of Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams. They were supposed to stay in space for about eight days, but the mission dragged on for eight months.
The publication noted that the reason is that in September NASA decided to send the Starliner capsule back empty due to technical problems. Now the astronauts will not be able to return home until the end…
