Archaeologists have discovered a 7,000-year-old clay figurine in Kuwait that looks eerily similar to a modern-day depiction of an alien.
The style was common in ancient Mesopotamia, although this is the first of its kind ever found in Kuwait or the Persian Gulf, Live Science writes.
The small, elaborate head with slanted eyes, a flat nose and an elongated skull was found during excavations this year at Bahra 1, a prehistoric site in northern Kuwait. It was one of the oldest settlements in the Arabian Peninsula, where people lived from approximately 5500 to 4900 BC.
