Returned from professional boxing to amateur Talgat Shaiken won the first match of the championship Kazakhstan V Karagandareports Sports.kz.
In a three-round confrontation in the weight category up to 71 kilograms, Shaiken, representing the Akmola region, defeated Alinur Omirbek from Taraz on points.
Talgat Shaiken is a finalist at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. In 2020, Talgat left the Kazakhstan national team for professional boxing, having managed to fight nine victorious fights in two years, 5 of which ended in knockout.
