“Ukraine takes the following position on Syria: where it is difficult, we must be,”
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Viktor Koval explained to UNIAN the president’s recent words about humanitarian aid for Syria. He also talked about farmers’ reservations, new border blockages and food prices.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, in his video message on December 14, said that Ukraine is ready to help Syria with food (in particular, flour, grain and oil) and generally contribute to stabilizing the situation in this country.
“I instructed the government to establish food supplies in cooperation with international organizations and those partners who can help,” the head of state said.
Minister of Agriculture Viktor Koval told UNIAN about this, as well as the internal challenges of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, in a quick interview.
