Kazakh boxer Zholdas Zhenisov finished the fight at the national championship, which is taking place these days in Karaganda, writes Sports.kz.
Zhenisov, representing the Mangystau region, met in the ring with Asylzhan Serikbay from Shymkent in the 1/8 finals of the weight category up to 57 kilograms and unexpectedly lost to him with a score of 0:5.
Note that Zholdas Zhenisov also competes in professional boxing, where his record includes seven fights without defeat, two of which he won ahead of schedule. Zhenisov held his last professional fight to date on June 8 in Shymkent, in which he defeated Sokhbozbek Tolibjonov (2-2, 1 KO) from Uzbekistan by unanimous decision.
