Imports of Russian liquefied gas into the EU reached a record level this year,
After the outbreak of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the EU set a goal to stop importing all Russian fossil fuels by 2027, but supplies of liquefied gas to European ports continue to grow.
The EU received 16.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas by mid-December, despite efforts to reduce supplies from Russia.
