Andrey Shchepotyev – a Ukrainian referee died at the front – UNIAN
The defender died during a combat mission in the Kharkov region.
30-year-old football referee Andrei Shchepotyev died in a battle with Russian invaders. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).
The defender was from Kharkov and worked at youth football matches, as well as at amateur league meetings. In addition, he attended the National School of Referees and worked as a coach at the local Arsenal.
At the beginning of a full-scale war, Shchepotyev joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The military man gave his life for Ukraine during a combat mission in the Kharkov region.
