The length of the ring finger may indicate alcohol addiction – Lifestyle
A new study published in the American Journal of Human Biology has found a connection between the proportions of fingers and addictions, reports Sports.kz with reference to the “Championship”.
The authors of the scientific work were scientists from Swansea University in the UK and the Medical University of Lodz in Poland. They relied on the idea that hormones that affect us before birth can influence our drinking preferences. To test this theory, the authors conducted an experiment with students.
It turned out that participants whose ring fingers were longer than their index fingers tended to drink more. This suggests that high levels of the male hormone testosterone in the womb may increase cravings for alcohol.
