According to preliminary information, an explosive device was planted in a room with ATMs.
On Saturday, December 21, in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, an explosion rang out at the branch of the state-owned Sberbank on Serednyohtynskyi Prospect.
Videos and photos from the scene are published by local Telegram channels.
In the published footage, it can be seen that the doors and windows of the banking institution were blown out. In addition, ATMs were vandalized in the premises.
According to preliminary information, the explosive device was planted exactly in the premises with ATMs. The bank itself was closed that day – it was a holiday.
The culprits have not been found yet.
Residents of nearby houses, who were alarmed by the explosion, were not evacuated.
