Scandalous incident with the head coach of the national team Kazakhstan in football Stanislav Cherchesovwhich caused a resonance in Kazakh society, took ninth place in the top 10 football failures of 2024 according to the Russian YouTube channel “Ball Production,” Sports.kz reports.

The scandal occurred at Cherchesov’s press conference after the Nations League match with Slovenia. One of the journalists asked the Russian specialist a question in Kazakh, to which he responded with the phrase: “Do you speak French now?” This incident caused a public outcry, which was discussed in the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
