Humanoid robots 2024 – an army of 1000 Androids was created in China – UNIAN
AI-powered androids help in warehouses and have the potential to become a universal assistant for the home. Agibot has now produced almost 1,000 of these robots.
Chinese robotics firm Agibot, known in its home market as Zhiyuan Robotics, has begun mass production of humanoid robots for general use, ahead of American counterparts Tesla.
According to Chinese media, by the end of the year the company plans to release about 1,000 of these robots, of which 962 have already been assembled. Such a pace is ahead of the production of Tesla Optimus, which should begin only in 2026.
The following robots are presented on the Agibot website:
- AgiBot A2-W, which is capable of picking up and transporting objects;
- AgiBot A2 for customer service and supermarket navigation;
- AgiBot RAISE A1 is a first generation “smart” robot.
