Increasing pensions in Russia from 2025 and new conditions for retirement
According to the Social Fund of Russia, the average old-age pension for non-working citizens from January 1, 2025 will be 18,521 rubles. This became possible thanks to an increase in budget allocations, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
The right to an old-age insurance pension in Russia is determined by three main criteria. However, it is worth noting that the retirement age is gradually increasing. Currently, women retire on average at 56.5 years, and men at 61.5 years. However, from 2028 it is planned to reach a retirement age of 60 years for women and 65 years for men.
