The State Border Guard Service warns that high passenger traffic will continue until the end of the holidays.
During the winter holidays, passenger traffic at the borders of Ukraine reached record levels.
This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko.
According to him, this year the number of people crossing the border has increased to 150,000 per day.
“This year, the indicator is a record because there has not been an indicator of 150,000 crossing the border for a long time, even if it is in both directions. Of course, an increase in passenger traffic leads to queues,” he said.
The greatest load is observed at the checkpoints with Poland.
However, as of the morning of December 23, queues at checkpoints have slightly decreased compared to weekends.
