Spanish police are crediting a recent update to Google Maps for providing evidence crucial to solving a murder case they've been investigating for more than a year.

The tragic case of a 33-year-old Cuban man, identified only by the initials JLPO, whose remains were found on the outskirts of Tahueco, a city in the Spanish province of Castile and Leon, may soon reach its conclusion thanks to an update to Google Maps.
