A billion tranche from the IMF for Ukraine


In total, under this program, Ukraine has already received 9.8 billion dollars from the IMF.

Ukraine received $1.1 billion from the IMF. This is the sixth tranche under the joint program under the EFF Enhanced Financing Facility.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

Where will the money go?

Shmyhal emphasized that the funds have already arrived in Ukrainian accounts. They will be directed to finance critical budget expenditures.

“We are grateful to the International Monetary Fund for the steadfast support of our state during the full-scale war,” said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Earlier it became known that Ukraine will receive an IMF tranche in the amount of 1.1 billion dollars. The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has completed the sixth review of the program under the Enhanced Financing Facility (EFF).
