TASS writes that Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, was informed about the situation with the mayor of Kirov Sosnovka.
On December 23, Dmitry Peskov answered reporters that the Kremlin is still aware of the situation with the mayor of the city of the Kirov region.
Nikita Gorelov is a veteran of the Northern Military District. At the end of October he became mayor of Sosnovka. In December, the man received an order requiring him to return to a military unit in the Northern Military District zone. Nikita Gorelov believes that they decided to remove him from his post. The mayor discovered facts of corruption.
Journalists asked the president's press secretary to comment on the case. Peskov replied that he did not know about this yet.
