Key developers of the Dead Space horror series Glen Scofield, Bret Robbinson and Christopher Stone came to Electronic Arts this year with a proposal to make a new part of the series, but were refused.
The developers spoke about this in an interview on the Dan Allen Gaming channel. Electronic Arts is currently not interested in the Dead Space franchise, the authors say, which is why they refused the potential fourth part.
According to the creators of the series, they have ideas for a sequel, and they would like to implement them.
The last game in the series was a remake of the original Dead Space. The re-release sold 2 million copies, which, although not an impressive result, is quite decent for a remake of a 15-year-old chamber space horror film.
