Torekhan Sabyrkhan competed in the semi-final fight of the weight category up to 67 kilograms at the 2024 Kazakhstan Championship in Karaganda, Sports.kz reports.
Torekhan, representing the Turkestan region, fought with Elnur Suyunbay (Zhambyl region) in the final match. Sabyrkhan won the match by a judge's decision. Thus, he reached the final, leaving Suyunbai with the bronze award.
It should be noted that Torekhan Sabyrkhan is the first four-time Asian champion among youth and juniors in history. His older brother Mahmud Sabyrkhan is the 2023 and 2024 Asian World Champion.
