The Pentagon signed a contract with the Williams International company in the amount of 253.7 million dollars, which will be aimed at increasing the production of missiles. Part of the missiles will be transferred Ukraine as part of aid for protection against Russian invaders.

The announcement indicates that the new contract will enable Williams International to expand production capacity for the production of gas turbine engines. This is necessary to increase the output of weapons:

  • Harpoon anti-ship missiles;
  • AGM-158 JASSM air-to-surface missiles;
  • AGM-158C LRASM long-range anti-ship missiles;
  • Tomahawk cruise missiles and other types of high-precision strike weapons.
