In Kaspiysk, a ceremony was held for the acceptance into the Russian Navy of the small missile ship “Tucha” of project 22800. The Russian Kommersant reports this.
The ship was enlisted in the Black Sea Fleet. Allegedly, it was built at the Zelenodolsk plant, which is located in Tatarstan. According to the Russian side, the ship was laid down on February 26, 2019, and was launched on June 30, 2023.
“Tucha” is one of the ships of the new project 22800 (code “Karakurt”), which the Russians have been building since 2015. These are multi-purpose missile and artillery ships of small displacement in the near sea zone.
