After the accident of the Russian tankers in the Kerch Strait, fuel oil reached the Russian city of Anapa, and the oil products themselves continue to leak from the sunken vessel.
This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
According to preliminary calculations, oil products continue to pollute the Kerch Strait and the coast of Crimea, but “a gradual movement of pollution in the eastern direction, to the open waters of the Black Sea, is observed.”
In the following days, fuel oil will gradually expand under the influence of wind conditions and currents.
