According to the results of almost 100% of processed protocols, the current president of the country Maya Sandu with 55% defeated the candidate from the pro-Russian Party of Socialists Alexander Stoyanoglo with 44.9% – a former prosecutor general who is under investigation for corruption and abuse of power.
