In different languages, the names of water echo each other. Have you ever wondered why water is called water?

In Ukrainian and Bulgarian it will be “voda”, in Polish “woda”, in English “water”, in German “wasser”. All these words have something in common: they consist of two syllables, starting with the “v” sound. This is absolutely no coincidence.
