Media: Russia has used almost all of its pre-war stocks of T-90 and T-80 tanks
As of December 22, Russian forces had 47% of their pre-war tank reserves left.
During the war in Ukraine, Russia used up all its pre-war reserves tanks T-90 and a significant part of T-80. In general, the Russian Federation has already used up almost half of all its reserves of heavy equipment.
The Ukrainian Service writes about this on Tuesday Voice of America with reference to Western analysts.
“As of December 22, Russian forces have 47% of their pre-war tank reserves, 52% of their pre-war BMP and 45% of their pre-war reserves of armored personnel carriers,” the publication says.
In addition, the Russian military is reported to have used up all of its pre-war T-90 tanks and most of its T-80 tanks, but still has most of its older T-72s, T-64/62s, and T-54/55s in storage.
