The banker noted that there are several versions of what the hryvnia devaluation will be like in the first three months of 2025.
Exchange rates are unlikely to get out of control in the first quarter of 2025. The National Bank of Ukraine will make efforts to balance supply and demand.
Vice-President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Chairman of the Board of Globus Bank Sergei Mamedov noted that in the first months of 2025, the maximum devaluation of the hryvnia will most likely not be more than 2-2.5% per month.
“There are several versions of what the devaluation of the hryvnia will be in the first 3 months of the year. According to various estimates, it can range from 2.5% to 4%,” the banker noted.
In his opinion, at the end of March the dollar exchange rate may be in the range of 42 – 42.8 hryvnia.
