The increase in the cost of the traditional New Year's salad “Olivier”, according to experts' calculations, has increased by almost 20%.

Thus, UKAB analyst Maksym Hopka calculated that in 2024 the price of Olivier salad for 6 people will increase by 19%.

In 2024, the total cost of all ingredients for making a salad will be 300 hryvnias, while in 2023 it was 251.4 hryvnias. In particular, the consumer price index for components for a traditional New Year's salad changed as follows:

• boiled sausage (350 grams) became more expensive by 29%, reaching the cost of 152 hryvnias against 118 hryvnias last year
• eggs (4 pieces) became more expensive by 33%, the price increased from 24 to 32 hryvnias this year
• pickled cucumbers (200 grams) rose in price by 17%. Their price increased to 35 hryvnias from 30…
