Kazakh weightlifter, after success at the world championship, won gold at the Asian Championship – Athletics

Kazakh weightlifter Alexey Churkin became the winner Asian Championship among juniors in Doha (Qatar)Sports.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.

The weightlifter won the competition in the weight category up to 89 kilograms. In total, Churkin lifted 360 (163+197) kilograms.

Second place went to Ilia Salehipour (Iran) – 356 (161+195) kilograms. Abbaspour Alireza (Iran) won the bronze medal – 355 (159+196) kilograms.

It is worth noting that at the recent World Championships in Manama among adults, Churkin won a silver medal.
