According to a study by The Insider, billionaires close to Russian leader Vladimir Putin continue to earn money by exporting goods to the West, bypassing sanctions. To do this, they use a loophole that allows companies to operate on EU markets if the share of shares held by sanctioned businessmen is less than 50%. In particular, billions of dollars in profits from trade with the EU are received by the most odious Russian oligarchs – Gennady Timchenko, Alisher Usmanov and Oleg Deripaska.
