New rules for tourists come into force in January, which change everything – protests have already begun

The European Union is thinking about the need to revise the principles of tourism organization.

In particular, the EU Council of Ministers took up the task of updating the Agreement on Package Tours. These measures have already caused a wave of discontent and objections from representatives of the tourism industry.

According to the German press, the German Travel Association (DRV) and ECTAA, which represents the interests of European travel agencies and tour operators, welcomed some of the changes but expressed concern about the continued overburden on the industry.

Among the positive aspects, experts noted the exclusion of the concept of “connected travel services.”
