Trainer of former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, Malik Scott spoke about the plans of his ward fighter for 2025, Sports.kz reports with reference to Championat.com.
“If Deontay wants to continue, and I know he will because he has fighting in his heart, then 2025 will be a big year for him.
He has a lot of options. You may not have seen him since the loss to Zhang Zhilei, but Deontay still has a lot of options because he is a boxing star,” Scott said in an interview with the YouTube channel The Stomping Ground.
Let's remember that Wilder's last fight took place in June 2024, where he was defeated by technical knockout in the fifth round from Chinese Zhang Zhilei.
