Forecasters told what to prepare for from January 1

The winter season of 2024-2025 in Russia, according to meteorologists, may become one of the most anomalous in the last quarter of a century. It is expected that the coming winter will be characterized by sharp changes in temperature, frequent thaws and frosts, which will give it a “crazy” and “nervous” character. These changes in weather conditions are caused by global climate processes occurring in the world's oceans and atmosphere.

According to forecasts, the average temperature in the winter months will be significantly higher than usual: in December it is expected to be 3 degrees above normal, in January – by 7 degrees, and in February – by 2 degrees.
