The demand for carrots has increased.

IN Ukraine carrot producers raise the prices of their products. One of the reasons was the growth of demand and carrots among wholesale companies and retail chains.

This was reported by the analysts of the EastFruit project.

Experts noted that since the beginning of the current week, the price of carrots has increased to UAH 23-30/kg ($0.55-0.71/kg), depending on the quality and volume of the offered batches of products, which is on average 15% more expensive than at the end last working week.

Producers cite several reasons for the increase in carrot prices.

“First of all, the rising price trend is associated with a noticeable reduction in the supply of non-standard products, as supplies from unequipped warehouses have dropped to a minimum. At the same time, the demand for carrots remains quite active,” the report says.
