Butter is a popular product in Russia, but buyers are often concerned about its quality and naturalness. Roskontrol checked various brands of oil and identified reliable brands.

The main concerns of consumers are the risk of counterfeiting and staleness of the oil. Counterfeiting may include the use of vegetable fats or beef tallow instead of cream, as well as the presence of harmful microorganisms.

Experts tested oil with fat content from 72.5% to 82.5% and identified reliable brands:
