A new head of the municipality has been approved in Kirovo-Chepetsk. This was officially announced by the press service of the local mayor's office.

On Monday, November 11, an extraordinary meeting of the City Duma was held in Kirovo-Chepetsk. The first item on the agenda was the approval of the new mayor of the city. According to the municipal charter, this could be one of the deputies.

People's representatives nominated and supported the candidacy of Sergei Zavyalov, deputy from electoral district No. 20. He was approved for the post by a majority vote. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 19th.

Next year is an anniversary year, so there is a lot of work ahead. I am confident that with the support of the team of city Duma deputies, deputies of the Legislative Assembly, and the government of the Kirov region, we will be able to achieve decent results,” said the newly-minted mayor.
