The OVA says that a strike on the dam potentially poses a threat to residents of settlements on the Volchya River – both in the Donetsk region and in the Dnieper region.
The Russians damaged the dam of the Kurakhovskoye reservoir. This was announced by the Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Head of the Regional Military Administration Vadim Filashkin.
“This blow potentially poses a threat to residents of settlements on the Volchya River – both in the Donetsk region and in the Dnieper region,” he noted in Telegram.
According to Filashkin, as of 16:00 it was established that the water level in the river within the Velikonovoselkovskaya community rose by 1.2 meters.
