Undermining the dam of the Kurakhiv Reservoir – ISW named the goal of the Russians

Perhaps the enemy sought to flood the settlements along the Vovcha River, expanding the water barrier that separates the Ukrainian groups.

Russian troops could attack the Terniv dam of the Kurakhiv reservoir for significant and long-term flooding to the west of it. This would make it easier for the enemy to encircle Ukrainian forces north and south of Kurakhovo.

This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Currently, the Russian occupiers are carrying out offensive actions to the north, southeast, south and southwest of Kurakhovo, trying to eliminate the Ukrainian salient in the corresponding direction.
