Finnish President Alexander Stubb said his conversation with Donald Trump the day before confirmed that the president-elect should be taken seriously when he talks about ending Russia's war in Ukraine.
“We in Europe and around the world must understand that Donald Trump is very serious about reaching a peace agreement as quickly as possible. There is a window of opportunity for these negotiations between the elections and Inauguration Day,” Stubb said in an interview, Bloomberg writes.
Stubb stressed that there is room for negotiations between the elections and the inauguration and outlined four key conditions for peace: territorial issues, security guarantees, justice and reconstruction.
