This was announced by the CEO of Yasno Serhiy Kovalenko.

He explained that such events were “classics of the genre” as early as 2023. Kovalenko emphasized that any shutdown of a network link creates an excess of electricity, which leads to short circuits and damage to equipment at stations or substations. To avoid this, it is necessary to reduce the amount of energy production, but currently the thermal power plants damaged by shelling are limited in their maneuverability.
