Mussels are dying due to extreme heat in Greece
In Greece, almost all of the mussels died this summer due to extreme heat.
Over the past couple of years, Greece has suffered perhaps the most among popular summer holiday countries due to weather disasters – from extreme heat, drought and forest fires to heavy rains and floods. This, of course, does not have the best effect on the country’s tourism sector, which brings significant revenue to its economy.
Now a popular dish in Greek taverns has come under attack and they are forced to exclude it from the menu. Next year may also be unsuccessful, writes The Independent.
