Overwatch 2 new season – Blizzard temporarily returned the original Overwatch – UNIAN
A new Overwatch Classic event starts today, featuring heroes and maps from the original 2016 game.
Blizzard studio decided to tap into your sense of nostalgia and announced Overwatch: Classic – a limited-time mode for Overwatch 2 with heroes and maps from the original 2016 game.
As part of the event, 21 original heroes with old abilities will be available, 12 maps and 6 game modes, including “Assault”, which Blizzard removed when switching to Overwatch 2. Matches are held in a “6 vs 6” format – everything is the same as at the release of Overwatch in 2016.
In the early days of Overwatch: Classic, there will be no restrictions on roles or the number of identical heroes in matches, so if you wish, you can assemble a team of six Torbjorn. Later the developers will release a “patch” that will introduce roles.
