According to a top military official, Poland is “under threat” of war.
Poland will not shoot down Russian missiles and drones in the skies over Ukraine. This statement was made by the head of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, Vyacheslav Kukula.
“Our position and the position of the allies is clear. We will not do this. Today, our responsibility for protecting the skies of the allies is determined by our borders,” he said in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.
At the same time, Kukula noted that Poland is “under the threat” of war, and this is a “real threat.”
“For me, the most important question is different. In the long term, will we be able to build the stability of the state system and the ability of the Armed Forces to eliminate this threat and when?” – added the head of the Polish General Staff.
