Radical Trumpists want to cut American aid to Ukraine and expect the same from European countries. Steve Bannon, adviser to Donald Trump and leader of the pro-Trump MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, stated this in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Emphasizing that he speaks specifically for the MAGA movement, and not on behalf of Trump himself, Bannon in particular expressed dissatisfaction with the policies of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who changed her formerly rather right-wing views to somewhat more moderate ones. Among other things, he reproached Meloni for her support for Ukraine.
