Vilfand shocked with his long-term forecast for December, January and February

Roman Vilfand, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, shared his forecast for the coming winter.

According to him, weather conditions in December, January and February will be different from usual. As a result, the winter will be unusual.

As the country's chief meteorologist notes, winter, which according to the calendar will begin in a month, but in fact has already arrived in many regions, will be different from previous ones. In recent seasons, anomalies have been observed: an abnormally hot summer, then autumn, and now winter promises to be unusual.

According to the forecaster, this time climate change in Russia will be especially noticeable. Winter will be characterized by sudden changes in temperature. The weather will behave unpredictably: periods of thaw will be replaced by a sharp cold snap.
