Deputy Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Abenov raised the issue of financing the cycling team “Astana“and noted that 31 billion tenge will be allocated annually from the quasi-public sector to support the club, Sports.kz reports with reference to the Bassport.kz Instagram.

“On November 13, I sent a request to the Minister of Tourism and Sports Erbol Myrzabosynov and said that the cycling team does not justify the money spent.

This team performs abroad, this is a business project. The flag of Kazakhstan is not raised during any victory, and there is no mention of Kazakhstan. They don't come here at all. After performing in Europe, most of them do not return to the country. Only 10 out of 29 team members are Kazakhstanis….
