Sources in the Verkhovna Rada believe that holding presidential elections in May of next year, which The Economist wrote about, is impossible.

There will be no national manifestation of will in the spring of next year in Ukraine, because there are several reasons for this. The date of the presidential election of May 25, 2025, which is called by the British publication The Economist, is unrealistic.

According to him, even if the Verkhovna Rada does not extend martial law in February 2025, the country will need time – at least six months – to organize elections. That is, according to the most optimistic scenario, the presidential elections can be held no earlier than August 2025.
